The Primary Care Practice is the point of entry into the health care system for most patients. Primary care physicians provide initial contact for the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. Scope of practice includes urgent care, chronic care, continuity of care, and coordination of care. Please refer to our Services menu to the left for details as well as a listing of conditions we treat.
We are proud to include nurse practitioners, who we believe are a very important component of the future of primary care in America, in our practice. Due to the shortage of physicians within the primary care specialty, NP’s will continue to play an ever increasing role in acute care, disease prevention, and chronic disease counseling.
Holistic Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with advanced education and additional clinical training enabling them to effectively diagnose and manage most common and many chronic illnesses, independently or as part of a health care team. Holistic NPs focus on a variety of health maintenance, nutritional, disease prevention, counseling, and patient education approaches, and are of particular benefit to patients seeking personalized care, education and explanation of diagnoses and health care options. They take medical histories, provide physical exams, perform procedures, and provide and order treatments, including prescribing medication.
